5H Plainsman shakers. Frankoma made these shakers as part of dinnerware sets. The glazes consequently are mostly the glazes available for the plainsman dishes. The standard plainsman glazes are desert gold and prairie green. Additional glazes offered in the catalogs are: 1949-redbud and 1953-clay blue. The other glazes, onyx black, terra cotta rose and turquoise shown here must have been "specials". I consider them rare.
