165H Cats, rosetone (desert rose), 3/2 hole set, small size. Ada clay, no marks. I do not know where the name "desert rose" originates for this glaze but that usage is common. My 1942 catalog shows no entry for this glaze although it lists dusty rose. My 1943 catalog calls the glaze rosetone. No further catalogs were issued until 1948 when this glaze space became red bud. Cats were produced on Ada clay through 1953 so this set is easily confused with those glazed in redbud. This set probably dates to 1943.
